Developer Starward Industries has revealed some more details on its upcoming sci-fi game The Invincible, as well as some new gameplay footage.
Based on the 1964 sci-fi novel of the same name, The Invincible's art style is based on visions of space travel from the 1940 - 1960, before the rise of digital technology. As such, all of your gear and equipment is made from analogue technology, and has a heavy, tactile feel.
In the new first look trailer down below, we get more information on the game's story, which is set against the backdrop of a fractured human race who has split into factions, and is spreading across the galaxy in a quiet, Cold War-style conflict. Playing as biologist Dr. Yasna, having come across something on an alien planet that can't be comprehended or classified, your actions will have consequences for the fate of humanity itself.
The game looks gorgeous, and we get to see more its first-person gameplay in the video below. The Invincible is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2022.
