Developer Undercoders and publisher Numskull Games have today launched Treasures of the Aegean, a 2D side-scrolling platforming adventure inspired by Prince of Persia, Flashback, and Tomb Raider. Boasting hand-drawn comic book visuals influenced by Tintin and Asterix, the narrative also take place in a lost world trapped within a time loop.

As Marie Taylor, you'll be able to traverse Treasures of the Aegean's open world using her parkour skills, while treasure hunter James Andrew helps explore the long-forgotten civilisation, the duo sliding down slopes, climbing walls, and swinging on vines. To discover the island's hidden secrets, you'll need to solve puzzles in the correct order before the time loop begins again.

Among the sights you'll see is a Minoan citadel, a sunken Ottoman fleet, and the doors to an underground palace, the inhabitants of which met a tragic end. Treasures of the Aegean is out today for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, priced $19.99/£15.99. A physical Collector's Edition with soundtrack CD, prequel comic book, and cloth map will also be available for PlayStation from 3rd December.
