Jurassic World Evolution 2 Puts You in Charge on PS4 and PS5 Today

Matt Lorrigan

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is out on PS4 and PS5 today, giving players control of their very own dinosaur theme park. What could go wrong?

This sequel takes players out of The Lost World's Muertes Islands for the first time, and offers up a narrative-driven campaign mode set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, with players joining returning characters like Claire Dearing and Dr. Ian Malcolm, voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum, respectively.

A new Chaos Theory mode is also available, letting players revisit iconic and pivotal moments from the original Jurassic Park trilogy, and the two Jurassic World films, and letting them loose to change the course of events in a range of “what if?” scenarios.

On top of all that, Jurassic World Evolution 2 offers up deeper management options, such as guest demographics, as well as more fan-requested dinosaurs and other prehistoric wildlife. You can check out more in the launch trailer down below.

We enjoyed our time with the first Jurassic World Evolution, and you can keep an eye out for our Jurassic World Evolution 2 review very soon!

  • Jurassic World Evolution was an amazing game and I am on board for the sequel, but I would recommend anybody interested in this game to wait until they've released all updates and DLC content.

With Jurassic World Evolution, I platinum-ed soon after release, but they changed the mechanics significantly (new feeding requirements and algorithms, bathroom requirements, and other things). So now my 5-star parks don't work right and aren't 5-star anymore, which is annoying, because they were fully optimized under the old rules.

I need to back and start from scratch and collect some DLC trophies, but this kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm excited to play this game, but I don't want to have the rules changed out from under me again ...
