Apple Music Comes to PS5 Today

Matt Lorrigan

Apple Music is launching on PS5 today, making Sony's new-gen console the first console to have an integrated Apple Music experience.

Players on PS5 with an Apple Music subscription can now listen to their music through the PlayStation 5, with access to more than 90 million songs, as well as curated playlists, 4K music videos, and Apple Music Radio.

Like other music apps on PlayStation, Apple Music can be played in the background of a game, with players either choosing their music before hopping in, or using the PS5's Control Centre to find recommendations from Apple Music for songs to match the game they are currently playing. The Apple Music app can also be used to find and watch music videos, which can be played in 4K in full screen, or in the background when you switch to a game.
