Activision has confirmed the download and install sizes for Call of Duty: Vanguard on each console, and they are indeed quite a bit smaller than recent entries in the Call of Duty franchise, although PS4 and PS5 require more disk space to play than Xbox.
Players can also manage storage space and reduce the game’s overall file size during or after the pre-load.

Call of Duty: Vanguard should take up way less space on your PS5 than previous COD games, Activision has claimed.
On PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, developer Sledgehammer Games is utilising some new on-demand texture streaming technology in order to decrease the first-person shooter's footprint on you drive, promising file size reductions of 30-50% or more.
“Good news for hard drives everywhere: Vanguard's install size at launch will be significantly below previous Call of Duty releases,” the official Call of Duty Twitter account announced.
This will be music to the ears of players who plan to pick up Call of Duty once again this year, with previous games having been criticised for monopolising drive space, with downloads and installs hitting as high as 200GB for the previous instalment, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
