Developer Frogwares has dropped a new trailer for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, showing off players will have to collect clues, speak to suspects, and piece everything together to come to a conclusion.

With this being a younger version of the great detective, he's a little more prone to error than you'd expect from the older Holmes we're used to, meaning that players are able to come to wrong conclusion if they put the pieces together the wrong way. Luckily, this will never result in a game over - players will just have to live with the consequences of their actions as they progress through the game.

In Chapter One, players will have to sweep an area for clues, before identifying a suspect. With Holmes out of his comfort zone on a Mediterranean island, he'll have to use disguises to get the islanders to talk to him, with players having to pick the right disguise for each situation. Players can also present people with evidence in order to get more information, and once you think you've got enough, you can piece it all together in Sherlock's mind palace.

You can check it out in action, along with plenty of new gameplay, in the trailer down below. Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 16th November, before launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later.

  • Nice, just like in L.A. Noire. But like in that game, there will unfortunately most likely not be any real consequences for choosing the wrong suspect
