Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World has passed 20 million units shipped worldwide.
Monster Hunter World is Capcom's first ever game to pass the twenty million mark, making it the Japanese publisher's best selling game ever, ahead of other popular franchises like Resident Evil and Street Fighter. The number combines sales of Monster Hunter World, and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition, which packaged the original game together with its expansion.
Capcom last reported that Monster Hunter World had passed 15 million units back in January 2020, meaning that the game has continued to sell extremely well years after it originally released, likely helped by the rise in digital sales and the launch of the Iceborne expansion.
Monster Hunter World is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
