Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware have confirmed that Elden Ring will now be releasing in February 2022, the game delayed by a month as “the depth and strategic freedom of the game” has apparently exceeded the studio's “initial expectations”.

Originally slated for release in January 2022, Elden Ring is a collaboration between Dark Souls developer and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, announced during E3 2019. It promises an experience similar to Dark Souls, within a seamless open world.

Elden Ring is set to release on 25th February 2022, with a Closed Network Test scheduled to commence on 12th November, with three-hour sessions available each day until the test period comes to an end on 15th November. You can register to take part in the Elden Ring Closed Network Test now, but you'll need to do so before 1st November.

Here's the full schedule for the Elden Ring Closed Network Test:

  • 12th November: 3:00am PT to 6:00am PT
  • 12th November: 7:00pm to 10:00pm PT
  • 13th November: 11:00am to 2:00pm PT
  • 14th November: 3:00am to 6:00am PT
  • 14th November: 7:00pm to 10:00pm PT

  • February ‘22 is such a packed month for game releases currently. I wonder how many of those games will be sticking to their Feb. releases by the time we actually get to that month lol
