I hope you're feeling autumnal and spooky, everyone, because we're in the “every game gets a Halloween update” season, and this time around, its PUBG getting involved in the fun.
Update 14.1 for PUBG has finally made its way off of PC, and onto consoles, bringing with it new gameplay features, balance changes, and more. Of course, first we have to address the Halloween stuff, which sees the Erangel map get a nice spooky makeover, with fog weather effects and a unique moon colour.
There's also a new carry mechanic across all maps, allowing you to pick up other downed players. You can use this to carry a downed teammate to safety before reviving them, obviously, but you can also grab a downed enemy to use as a shield. Nice!
The TAEGO map is also getting tweaks based on player data, with objects and terrain adjusted in the map's most popular combat zones, especially in areas with a 75% win rate or higher.
