Nighthawk Interactive has confirmed that the Disney Classic Games Collection, first released in October 2019, will be returning in a new and expanded capacity, adding SNES versions of Aladdin and The Lion King, as well as The Jungle Book, making for a more definitive compendium of 16-bit Disney platforming greats.

Heading up the new collection is the ‘MORE Aladdin Pack’, which includes the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis versions of the game, as well as the altogether different SNES release, and Game Boy Color version. There's even a Final Cut SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis version of Aladdin to play, and the Japanese version of the game.

The Lion King gets a similarly definitive treatment, with SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis, SNES, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color versions, and the Japanese version; where as Disney's The Jungle Book has been added in response to fan requests, presenting the SNES, Game Boy, and SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis versions to play through.

The collection will also come with a raft of new features, including the ability to rewind, skip, or watch any bit of the game you like (handy, since the included games are notoriously difficult); an array of visual filters, and more. The Disney Classic Games Collection will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in ‘fall 2021’.

  • Should have added more games. Will probaly get this though!
  • What about those like me who already purchased the first collection with just Aladdin and the Lion KIng? Can we just buy the Jungle book? Don't tell me we have to buy the whole collection again...
  • @The Undertaker, It's Di$ney
  • so repurchase the 1st game, but with slightly more games.. is Disney secretly E A in disguise ?
  • @gengarhaunting87:
Seriously? EA is freaking altruistic compared to Disney.
They are releasing the same movies over and over, limiting availablitiy of the VHS/disc version way before FOMO was a thing, they are milking franchises like no other company, have insane pricing, engage in physical loot boxes, and Mousechwitz/Duckau isn't any better than working crunch time.
