Square Enix has detailed updates to certain Job Actions coming to Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, the upcoming expansion for the ever-evolving MMO, due to release this November.
Featuring insights from producer and director Naoki Yoshida introduces the new Sage and Reaper Jobs (FF XIV's classes), with the former serving a healer role and the latter granting the ability to summon a ‘Voidsent Avatar’ that can be merged with using a Shroud Gauge.
The Sage can absorb health from foes by attacking them, buffing the rest of the party, in the process. As for existing classes, you can expect changes to the Summoner as part of Endwalker, as well as single target buffs for healers. Duty Reward Adjustments will also include dropping weapon coffers.
Quality of life and system updates are also on the cards, like enhanced customisation options for the game's HUD, the reduction of bloated inventories with the removal of excess items, and a ‘Data Center Travel System’ promised for sometime after the rollout of Patch 6.0, addressing server issues.
You can find out more in the new Job Actions trailer below, or, if you're mad/have too much time on your hands, you can watch the full seven-hour stream here (via VideoGamer). Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is due to launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on 23rd November.
