Farming Simulator 22 Will Support Cross-Platform Multiplayer

Farming can be a solitary affair, but not so in Farming Simulator 22, which has been confirmed to support crossplay across consoles and PC when it launches later this year.

The mad lads at developer GIANTS Software have only gone and done it, allowing players across PC, Mac, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and even Google Stadia to come together in the jolly cooperation of farming.

“The successful implementation of crossplay marks a major advancement for the multiplayer experience in the now self-published Farming Simulator series,” says head of publishing Boris Stefan. “With the series becoming more and more popular around the world, and the fan base growing on PC and consoles alike, we can now connect virtual farmers without restrictions. Cooperative farming evolves.”

With more multiplayer on the cards thanks to crossplay, players are now able to customise their farming avatar more than ever, to help distinguish them from their fellow online ranchers. There will be new player models, hairstyles, and clothing, including branded outfits from the likes of CLAAS, Fendt, Case IH, and more.

“Since Farming Simulator is enjoyed by an innumerable amount of fans in multiplayer mode, whether among friends in relaxing sessions after work, or even our passionate content creators playing together in role-play scenarios, we’re excited to provide them with many new possibilities for their characters,” says senior character artist Roman Pelypenko.

Farming Simulator 22 is due to launch across all platforms on 22nd November 2022.
