Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection Remasters Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy for PS5

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection Remasters Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy for PS5

Matt Lorrigan

If at any point you were playing Uncharted 4 or Uncharted: Lost Legacy on PS4 and going “surely this couldn't look any better”, then Sony want to prove you wrong, with both games now getting remastered for PS5 in the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

In case you're unfamiliar with them, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End follows Nathan Drake as he searches for the lost treasure of Captain Avery, while Uncharted: Lost Legacy sees Chloe Frazer move into the main protagonist role as she attempts to locate the Golden Tusk of Ganesh.

We've got our first look at both titles running on PS5 in the trailer down below. Now, one big question hanging over these remasters - will players who own both games on PS4 have to pay for them again? Sony isn't ready to answer that question just yet, it seems, but says it will discuss more details closer to release. Oh, and the remastered collection is coming to PC, as well, if you fancy playing it there instead.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is swinging onto PlayStation 5 in early 2022, with the PC version following shortly after.

  • And yet, still no Golden Abyss for console.
  • Exactly was my fav one
  • Well well well.
  • Hopefully they don’t add in extra hard trophies like the other remasters. No need for Brutal.
  • Better get free upgrade via PS4 copy
  • @ AdamKaygun lol nope, Sony already said Horizon Forbidden West is free upgrade now but everything after will cost you.
  • I am starting to suspect they do this only so that Sony has more PS+ filler titles, pretending they are new games because they technically are new releases. Can't wait for Shadow of the Colossus Remake Remastered.
  • i wonder if 4 will still have the lame online trophies
  • Crap move by Sony. Put time into new games instead of these "old" games that were only a few years old. If your gong to make a remake/remaster, then do something from the ps1 or ps2 catalog that hasn't seen the light of day like Legacy of Kain.
  • why is sony loosing their exclusives for PC?
  • @kamijordan One reason: money. They said as much at their shareholder meeting.
  • @kamijordan I wouldn't say they're losing them, its really good for drawing in more customers and its always nice to have games available on PC
  • I'll gladly take the excuse to go through these masterpieces again. So smooth gameplay, can't wait
