Aliens: Fireteam Elite welcomes its first batch of free content updates from today, with Season 1: Phalanx adding a new Phalanx class kit, fifteen new kit-specific perks, four new weapons, and various new cosmetic rewards.

The new Phalanx class comes armed with a combat shield, to keep marauding xenos and other enemies at bay, while the new cosmetic items on offer include a head accessory, weapon colourways, and decals. Owners of the game's Endeavor Pass can also get hold of the new ‘Wey-Yu’ Armoury DLC Pack today, with a selection of new items.

The Wey-Yu Armoury DLC includes two Weyland-Yutani armour skins for each class kit (twelve in total), four head accessories, four weapon colourways, four decals, four emotes, a consumable pack, credit pack, and Challenge Card pack. You can get the Aliens: Fireteam Elite Endeavor Pass with the Deluxe Edition of the game, or purchase each DLC pack for $9.99/£8.39 each.

  • This update added nothing of value to the game and just gave us 1 very sub-par kit that's outclassed by every other kit in the game, 4 crap guns that are inferior to every other gun in the game, plus a few rubbish cosmetics that offer no intrinsic value whatsoever so aren't worth buying.

This game has been a raging dumpster fire since it was released and looks like it will end up as the biggest flop of the year. If you must get this turd, either wait until it hits £8 or less or it inevitably hits PS Plus in the new year.
