Sony has announced that it'll be holding a PlayStation Showcase next week, promising a look at what the future holds on PS5, with approximately 40 minutes of updates from first-party PlayStation Studios and “some of the industry's most imaginative developers”.

While there will be no news or info regarding the next-gen PlayStation VR, there will be “plenty of great PS5 games”, according to the announcement on the PlayStation Blog, primarily focusing upon games releasing later this year and into 2022.

Post-presentation, there will also be further updates from some of the dev teams featured during the showcase. The PlayStation Showcase will go live on Thursday 9th September at 1pm PT/4pm ET/9pm BST/10pm CEST, and will be available to watch on either YouTube or Twitch.
