Developer Hazelight Studios has announced that It Takes Two, the excellent co-op only adventure from the folks behind A Way Out, has surpassed two million copies sold since its launch a few months ago. As of April, the game had sold over one million units.

Released in March, It Takes Two has you working together as feuding couple May and Cody, overcoming obstacles and puzzles, as you strive to return to normal when your daughter Rose makes a wish that sees you shrunken down and turned into dolls.

“We’re simply amazed by the PASSION you wonderful people have shown our game and we couldn’t be happier seeing so many fans of co-op out there,” Hazelight remarked on Twitter, with director Josef Fares pointing out: “This means that 4 million players have already played  It Takes Two. Amazing."

It Takes Two is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC - you can give our review a read here.

  • Great, hopefully more co-op successes lead to more co-op games.
  • It's nice, but I wish they would give some Single Player options, not everyone has a game partner available
