The PS5 demo for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been fixed, and is now finally playable nearly two days after it was first released.
While the demo was downloadable on PS5 as a surprise shadow drop following the Square Enix E3 broadcast, players weren't actually able to access and play the game, with an error message prompting players to re-download the title, which did not fix the problem.
Having identified the problem, Square Enix and Team Ninja have now issued a patch for the demo, bringing it up to version 1.03, which fixes the bug.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC in 2022. You can download and play the demo exclusively on PlayStation 5 right now, until 24th June 2021.
If you have already downloaded the #StrangerofParadise#FinalFantasy Origin Trial Version, the issue will be resolved by applying the update.
For those newly downloading the Trial Version, you will be able to play it as-is upon download. We apologise to have kept you waiting.

Well the demo was way better than that trailer they showed. I was not even about to try the demo, glad I did though. The game was interesting. That damn boss though, geez!
It says you can only download the demo until June 24th but my PS5 isn't coming until June 25th so if I download the demo using the app would I still be able to play it after June 24th?
Well I was pretty sceptical at first, too, but I honestly kinda liked the demo. Combat feels pretty good, lock-on function is also given (must have in these kind of games). Leveling Up, Spells, Guards, Roles, all looks pretty good for me so far. Only the main characters are pretty much forgettable at this moment,.

If you missed the reveal, Square Enix announced Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin during its E3 Square Enix Presents, a new action-RPG Final Fantasy spin-off game from Nioh developer Team Ninja. It also appears to be somewhat of a reimagining of the very first Final Fantasy game, featuring antagonists Garland and Chaos from the original game.
