Deep Silver and developer 4A Games have announced that Metro Exodus will be receiving a free next-gen upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X next month, promising 4K and 60fps support alongside fully ray traced lighting, across both the base game and its DLC expansions.

You can apparently expect “ground-breaking” ray traced global illumination and raqy traced emissive lighting techniques, across all content. “Dramatically reduced” loading times are also on the cards for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as spatial audio and controller latency improvements for Xbox, while PS5 players can look forward to haptic feedback with the console's DualSense controller.

The Metro Exodus enhancements will be available as a free upgrade for all existing owners of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions of the game on 18th June, while newcomers can pick up the physical Metro Exodus Complete Edition, which includes the enhanced version of the game for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, as well as The Two Colonels and Sam's Story expansions. Check out the enhancements in the trailer below.

It says base game and DLC. It's a free upgrade, physical or digital. Th pro skater told you they would charge 10 if you didn't buy the deluxe for an example.
