The Destroy All Humans! remake for PS4 seems to have been a big success for THQ Nordic since it launched last year, and it looks like the sequel could be the next game on the list for a remake if this latest tease is anything to go by.
To promote the game's 50% discount on Steam this week, THQ Nordic put out a “Midweek Madness” trailer, which for all intents and purposes is just a normal trailer. Until the last fifteen seconds or so, that is, at which point an shockingly familiar-looking Cryptosporidium clone pops out to converse with our hero, asking if Crypto-137 is “done yet”.
Clad in a different colour armour, it appears that this is Crypto-138, the clone who takes the role as main protagonist in the PS2 and Xbox title Destroy All Humans! 2. Crypto-137 then tells him to “wait his turn” as he's "only getting started".
There are two implications here - that we're getting more of the original Destroy All Humans! remake, and that the sequel is getting remade as well. Our guess? This is probably teasing a Nintendo Switch port of the 2020 game, and a Destroy All Humans! 2 remake coming to PlayStation and Xbox. With this very deliberate tease dropped this week, we expect we won't have to wait long to find out.
Destroy All Humans! is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. In fact, it's 35% off on PS4 right now in thePlayStation Indies sale.
