Yes, Hitman 2 Trophies Will Carry Over into Hitman 3

Richard Walker

If you were wondering whether your Hitman 2 trophies will carry over to Hitman 3 when you move your progression into the new game, developer IO Interactive has now given a definitive answer. Yes. Yes, they will. Good news!

While IO still seems to be grappling with some teething issues surrounding the progression carry over function that enables players to move their progress from Hitman 2 into Hitman 3. You can find out more details here.

Bear in mind that the progression carry over is a one-time deal, as while the game will move your Hitman 2 data into the new game, it will also reset any progress made in Hitman 3. You might want to finish things up in Hitman 2 first.

Hitman 3 is out now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

  • for me almost every hitman 1/2 trophy except the silent assassins/high score trophies unlocked after the progress transfer.
another thing to note is, if you earn a trophy on ps5, as soon as you log in with your ps4 it unlocks too. 2 plat for 1.
  • I'm gutted. Played through Hitman and got 100%. Moved straight on to Hitman 2 and had to complete Hitman for all the trophies that repeat in the Hitman 2 trophy list. Finally got to the last three maps, which are all sniper modes and each has one multiplayer trophy. Guess what has just been taken down? That's right, the multiplayer! So now I'm stuck with 3 unobtainable trophies that were totally unnecessary in the first place. It was a single player game but they slapped that in for no reason.
Hopefully when I get to Hitman 3 they will have the same modes and the trophy will unlock for both games, or the devs do something to the Hitman 2 list to make the trophies pop automatically or something. (Kind of like how that Middle Earth game got a patch to make the online trophies obtainable offline.)
