Polish video game developer and publisher CI Games has announced that the Sniper Ghost Warrior series of games has exceeded 11 million units sold.
The latest game in the series, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, makes up just over one million of these sales, having recently passed its own impressive milestone just over a year since launch.
“I am happy to break 11 million copies sold,” said CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński. “The franchise is important to us. We have learned a lot from SGW3 and we successfully launched Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, which just passed the 1 million units mark. The next instalment in the franchise SGW Contracts 2 will be released globally soon.”
“Our strategy at CI Games changed significantly vs the one we had for years 2017-2019,” Tymiński explained. “While Lords of the Fallen 2 is fully priced, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will stay mid-price. We appreciate having the ability to work on a mixture of games via our 2 separate teams and our many external partners from all around the world.”
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is due to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2021.

CI Games also dropped more details on Lords of the Fallen 2 in the same update, revealing that the Souls-like will be a AAA game, although Tymiński said that the Sniper Ghost Warrior series will stay lower-budget after lessons learned with Sniper Ghost Warrior 3.
