Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is gearing up to get everyone involved in some Zombies action this week, introducing a Zombies Free Access week and a new fast-paced Cranked Zombies mode. In Cranked mode, the onslaught of undead on the Die Maschine map will be accompanied by a timer, creating a greater sense of urgency.

Cranked Zombies will see you and your squad airlifted to the Die Maschine Zombies map with your choice of loadout, and once the first zombie has been killed, the Cranked Timer will start to count down. If you fail to dispatch another zombie before the timer hits zero, your Operator will explode, and as the match unfolds, the Cranked Timer becomes shorter and shorter. Collect a Cranked Timer Power-Up, and you can temporarily freeze time.

PlayStation players can also enjoy the two-player Onslaught Zombies experience on Black Ops Cold War's multiplayer maps, doing battle against hordes of “hyper-aggressive” waves of the undead. In Onslaught, you're confined by a Dark Aether Orb, until its charged with souls, at which point the area shifts, and you're pitted against even more challenging waves of enemies. Slay Elite zombies, and you'll earn special medals and weapon blueprints.

Cranked Zombies is available for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, while the Zombies Free Access week runs from 14th January until 21st January for all PlayStation players. Any Zombies progress made during the free access week will also carry across to the full mode in Black Ops Cold War.
