World War Z developer Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have revealed Evil Dead: The Game, a co-op and PvP multiplayer title in which movie protagonist Ash Williams makes a comeback, chainsaw appendage and double-barrel shotgun present and correct.
Based upon the original Evil Dead movies created by director Sam Raimi, producer Robert Tapert, and Ash actor Bruce Campbell, the game will see you facing the forces of evil released from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, with sights and sounds “inspired by” the iconic film trilogy and Ash vs. Evil Dead TV series.
As a team of four survivors (bagsy playing as Ash), you'll be able to explore, loot, craft, and manage your fear, locating key artifacts that seal the breach between worlds. Alternatively, you can assume control of the Kandarian Demon, hunting Ash and his friends, while possessing Deadites, parts of the environment, and even survivors themselves.
Featuring more than 25 weapons, including Ash's gauntlet, boomstick, and chainsaw, the game also includes a range of skill trees to develop your characters, new dialogue from Bruce Campbell, and a series of memorable locations including the classic cabin in the woods. Evil Dead: The Game is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2021.
