The upcoming Monster Hunter movie has received a new Chinese-language trailer, showing off scenes and locations that look a lot more like the games it is based on.
The first Monster Hunter trailer released last month, and despite looking like a bit of daft fun, it didn't seem particularly faithful to the Monster Hunter games. As such, Monster Hunter fans weren't very impressed with this new American-militarised vision of the beloved franchise
However, this new Chinese-language trailer looks far closer in style and tone to the series we know and love. You've got monsters, you've got big bloody weapons, you've even got a Palico chef! And with nary an assault rifle to be seen either. It's hard not to notice how differently the film is being marketing to a non-American audience, but we're certainly a tad more optimistic for the film having watched the trailer below.
