Dataminers have uncovered file names in the Call of Duty 2020 internal alpha, heavily suggesting that the rumoured Black Ops Cold War game is real.
Last week we reported that the Call of Duty 2020 internal alpha had been spotted on the Microsoft Store and PlayStation Store as "The Red Door", an Activision shooter coming in at a whopping 81 GB. Sounds like Call of Duty. Now dataminer Prototype Warehouse has uncovered file names which heavily suggest that the game will take place during the cold war, as per the previous rumour for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Campaign code from The Red Door lists things such as rus_kgp, rus_amerika, nic_revolution, ger_stakeout, (sidemission) tundra, (sidemission) takedown and nam_prisoner. This looks like missions will take place in Germany (ger), Russia (rus) and Vietnam (nam).
Prototype Warehouse also dug up codenames for multiplayer maps, with titles such as Moscow and KGP proving extremely on the nose.

We've yet to hear from Activision regarding this year's Call of Duty, but we don't expect to have to wait much longer, and we're excited by the prospect of returning to a late-twentieth century setting.
In the meantime, both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The timeline for this years Call Of Duty game sounds great. Cant wait to see the multi player and of course the Zombies on the PS5. I just hope the game doesn't suffer because of the shake up at Sledgehammer.
