A Plague Tale: Innocence has hit the impressive milestone of one million copies sold worldwide.
The game takes place in a plague-ridden France during the Hundred Years' War, and tells an intimate story of a family struggling to survive. The game was visually impressive, inspired by games such as The Last of Us and created on a much smaller budget than the triple-A titles you might associate with the genre, so hitting one million sold will be fantastic news for developer Asobo Studios.
The developer is currently working on the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator, which looks equally impressive, and may also be working on a sequel to A Plague Tale (via VideoGamer).
A Plague Tale: Innocence is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
We're thrilled to announce that A Plague Tale: Innocence has sold over a million copies worldwide!
This wouldn't have been possible without our community and we'd like to thank every one of you for supporting the game and @AsoboStudio ??????! pic.twitter.com/YQacwAemIo
