Ubisoft has revealed the existence of one more unannounced triple-A game due out before the end of the fiscal year in the company's latest financial report.
When listing the slate of games due out before 31st March 2021, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods & Monsters, Ubisoft also listed one other "unannounced AAA title", described to be coming from one of Ubisoft's "biggest franchises". We don't know what it is yet, but we do have a good idea of what it won't be - with Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed and Rainbow Six all accounted for, we can probably rule new titles in those franchises out.
If we're looking to Ubisoft's remaining big franchises, this could maybe be Rayman, although the limbless hero's recent outings aren't exactly AAA. Prince of Persia would be lovely, but I'm not convinced that Ubisoft would want a PoP game competing against Assassin's Creed. The most likely is a new Far Cry game following 2019's Far Cry New Dawn, or maybe a new Ghost Recon game, but the most exciting prospect is a new Splinter Cell game. We haven't seen a new title in the stealth series since Blacklist in 2013, and despite Sam Fisher popping up in Ghost Recon: Wildlands, we've heard nothing on the franchise for a long time. Whatever this AAA title is, we assume it will be unveiled during Ubisoft's recently announced, fully digital "Ubisoft Forward" event in July.
