The next update for Battlefront II will be the The Battle on Scarif, launching today, returning players to the setting of Star Wars: Rogue One and will likely be the last major content update for the game.

Star Wars Battlefront II Creative Director Dennis Brännvall has outlined how the vision for Battlefront II is now complete, after nearly two and a half years of free content updates, adding new settings and heroes to play as. From May onwards, in-game challenges and recurring events such as Double XP weekends will continue, as well as updates providing general support within the game, with the team moving away from regular content updates.

Hoth, Tatooine, Yavin 4, Death Star II and Scarif will all be added to Supremacy and Instant Action. Scarif and Crait will join the Heroes and Villains game modes, and the update also adds the ability to play the game's co-op mode exclusively with bots.

There will also be new Hero and Villain appearances added - Rey wielding her yellow lightsaber, Kylo Ren sporting his reforged mask, and Emperor Palpatine with his Rise of Skywalker look.

Star Wars Battlefront II is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

  • Least they finished it unlike BF5 which they didn't and will never
  • Need battlefront 3 for ps5 now :)
  • I can only hope this means battlefront 3 is on the way
  • I know this has fans pissed off but at least they stuck with it for two and a half years. EA's still a joke, though. Gave up on this game a few months after release due to how inconsistent their responses and updates were.
  • 2 years and a half to finish the game. Come on.
