Slavic folktale-inspired ARPG Yaga has a brand new trailer showing off the horrifying Kikimora enemy - part scarecrow, part bucket, all ghost.

Yaga tells the story of Ivan, a blacksmith with one hand and zero luck. He must battle his way through enemies, while also interacting with villagers and NPCs in a story that apparently adapts to your choices as the player. The game also features a soundtrack by Romanian folk band Subcarpati.

In Slavic folklore, the Kikimora is a household spirit that enters your home through your keyhole. While it sounds like they could easily be dealt with using a little bit of tissue in the keyhole, the new trailer shows Yaga protagonist Ivan hacking and slashing his way through these spirits using a variety of weapons and his trusty blacksmith’s hammer.

Yaga arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this autumn.

  • This looks cool. I like how you guys report on these indie games. Nice change from every other site reporting on the same news.
