Due to launch on PC later this month, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be heading to consoles in December, enabling you to explore, expand, and evolve. These also happen to be titles of the three episodes that make up the game's 101 trailer series, the last chapter of which is available to watch now.
Coming from Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets and his studio Panache Digital Games, Ancestors will see you living out the experiences of one of our ape forebears, before evolving, standing upright as a human and taking on new challenges. In the latest video, Désilets explains the game's evolution mechanics, and how your own curiosity and ingenuity will reap rewards within the game.
You can watch all three episodes in the 101 video series below, as well as a couple of 'Experiences' trailers, the newest of which features Canadian rock climber and 2020 Olympics hopeful Allanah Yi, discussing how we still use the very same instincts and motor skills as our ancestors to climb and overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. You can check out all five videos below.
There's no middle of the road for this game. It will either going to be a smash hit or a total piece of crap. I'm glad it's releasing on PC first, as I am on a wait & see on this one.
