Codemasters has announced that GRID, the first entry in the series since 2014's GRID Autosport, has been pushed from its original September release date to October. Rather than being a delay to apply polish, this particular date change is to ensure the game gets more exposure.
"The change has been made to give added exposure to a game we’re hugely excited about," the announcement on Codemasters' official blog reads. Presumably that means a larger advertising campaign will be mounted for GRID, increasing its chances to doing well at retail.
GRID will now be releasing on 11th October 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, while anyone purchasing the GRID Ultimate Edition will still receive three-day early access on 8th October. Check out some GRID gameplay below to help make the wait a little more bearable.
I would really like to see realistic rain puddle physics like Forza Motorsport has. Added an extra dimension to wet weather driving rather than "its slightly slippy".
