NeoCore Games has announced a new standalone expansion to Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr called Inquisitor - Prophecy, which is set to be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Prophecy will feature a new class called Tech-Adept Inquisitor, which has the ability to summon and enhance units to fight against enemies and complete investigations. The new class will also feature new unique abilities and mechanics along with a new skill-tree and new melee and ranged builds.

The standalone expansion will also feature a new campaign story for players to journey through as the new Tech-Adept Inquisitor and new environments ranging from huge monasteries to unforgiving deserts. It'll also feature new enemy races called the Eldar and the Tyranids.

Finally, players can expect to see new gameplay mechanics in the next Inquisitor title such as a redesigned loot-system and levelling, new co-op campaign mode, items, and faster ARPG-focused gameplay.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Prophecy will be available on PC on 28th May and will be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later date.
