Paradox Interactive has released a new Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 trailer today, revealing details on the game's Thinbloods clan, a second-class group of bloodsuckers with weaker abilities than the great vampire clans. In the upcoming game, you'll start out as a newly-embraced Thinblood, with progression seeing you eventually joining one of the five full-blooded Kindred clans.

As a Thinblood, you'll face a constant struggle to stay alive in Bloodlines 2's World of Darkness, not least as they're treated as second-class citizens by the Kindred. With Seattle only recently under Camarilla control, however, Thinbloods are free to navigate their way to higher circles of vampire society, should they manage to survive for long enough. As a Thinblood, you'll also be able to choose from one of three disciplines.

As a Chiropteran, you'll have a strong affinity for bats, being able to summon small swarms to attack enemies or glide to otherwise inaccessible areas. Alternatively, you can opt for powers of Mentalism, enabling you to pull inanimate objects towards you or levitate and throw enemies. Nebulation allows your Thinblood to summon a Mist Shroud to conceal yourself, choke enemies, or squeeze through small spaces. Envelop wraps foes in swirling mist, blinding and choking them.

While Thinbloods have their own burgeoning vampire abilities to take advantage of, the more powerful full-blood Kindred clans have unique skills and upgrades that will give players new ways to explore the dark corners of Seattle. Check out the trailer below to find out more about Thinbloods, then look out for further trailers focusing on the Kindred clans.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Q1 2020.

  • Not supporting the devs, they're enforcing a SJW Agenda in the game.
  • @1: Oh, but if the game was "enforcing" the opposite agenda, you'd be okay with that, right? You'd praise the developers for expressing their beliefs are artistic views, and mock the "whiny, sensitive, SJW snowflakes" who don't plan on playing the game because they don't agree with it. "It's just a game, grow up, and deal with it." You don't like it because it's not your view, so how are you any different than a SJW? You're not. Same behavior, different reasoning.
  • The way gamer these day let their political view affect their decision in which game to play is so stupid. The USA's culture is just fucking stupid. I'm from an Asian country and when i moved to USA i was amazed at how easily people get offended. It's like the whole country are made up of pussy who feel like everything is an attack toward them. I don't give a fuck about downvote or anything so do it if you want to.
  • I just googled 'SJW' and it came up with social justice warrior. Now I'm even more f**king confused.
  • Thinblood are defined by a severe lack of power (and Vampire abilities). Unless V:TM changed something in lore. Strange choice for a PC. And how would you get your awesome powers? Diablerie? Also I dislike the "2" in the title after there are so many questions left open in Bloodlines and the upcoming Gehenna. Taxi Driver anyone? @4: SJW is a derogative term used by people who define their manliness by videogames. At least that's the impression I got over the last year. Freaking beta-males.
  • #4 do you live under a rock? SJW's cry at everything offensive. They enforce that society must become politically correct. You're not allowed to offend anyone, say anything "bad" or they get mad.
