Treyarch has rolled out a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update, introducing Deathmatch Domination mode as a PS4 first in Multiplayer, the free Arsenal Sandstorm map, Infected mode across all platforms, new featured playlists and more.
Arsenal Sandstorm is an alternate weather variant of the Arsenal map, boasting reduced visibility that forces shorter-range engagements. Free to all players as an appetite whetting prelude to a further three Multiplayer maps coming with the next Black Ops 4 Operation later this month as part of the Black Ops Pass, the Arsenal Sandstorm map is apparently Treyarch's "most intricate" map makeover yet for Black Ops 4, following the release of Contraband Hurricane.
Deathmatch Domination, meanwhile, is a "first-of-its-kind" mode for the Black Ops series, a twist on Domination that sees your team able to score points by both capturing objectives and by bagging kills. So no matter which way you choose to play, you'll be contributing to your team. Infected is also now live in Multiplayer, with gameplay and stability improvements, such as 10 seconds on the clock rather than 30 when a Survivor becomes infected. This ensures that matches don't run for too long.
Weapon tuning for the Rampart and KN-57 has also been implemented, as has an extension to the final Collapse timing on the Blackout Alcatraz map. Deathmatch Domination and Infected are now available as a Featured Playlist in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for PlayStation 4. You can consult the complete patch notes here.
