THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games have announced that Darksiders III: The Crucible DLC is out now, giving you the opportunity to prove yourself worthy as Fury against multiple waves of enemies. To access the Crucible, you'll need to defeat the first of the Deadly Sins, and Vulgrim will show you the way in.

The more of the seven Deadly Sins you vanquish, the further into the Crucible you can venture, with the first 'real' Deadly Sin granting access to the first 25 waves, and the second, third, and fourth defeated Sins will enable you to access further sets of 25 waves each, up to a total of 100 waves.

Beat a set of five waves, and you'll be presented with a choice between carrying on at the risk of losing everything (not literally everything. You won't lose your house, or whatever), or endure more waves for greater rewards, including rare crafting materials, new enchantments, new armour sets, and loads of souls. Brave all 100 waves in a single run, and you'll face the Crucible's final challenge.

Darksiders III: The Crucible is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, priced $6.99/£5.99. Check out the new DLC in the trailer below.

  • This came out of nowhere! I really enjoyed the game but much to busy with newer stuff to do this now. Will give it a shot eventually. Probably when second DLC comes out, combat in this takes some getting used to
  • Downloaded this earlier today and had a chance to play this on the classic combat mode which worked a lot better than before as far as the combat is concerned. This is a lot easier than the Crucible for Darksiders 2, so Is very accessible to just come back to and smash away!
  • Rip off dlc that was included in both previous games, along with the Abyssal armour dlc. I'm waiting for the complete deal to be very cheap before buying.
  • Can you beat all 100 waves? Yes Do you want It? No, thanks.
  • Lol, dlc? Wat a joke... It was free content in Darksiders 2 (@3 it was also in first?) and a bad one In my opinion...
