CD Projekt RED has released a new Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales video, serving up 37-minutes of gameplay showcasing the GWENT: The Witcher Card Game spin-off in full effect. A dark RPG tale set within the world of The Witcher, Thronebreaker features loads of card-based shenanigans.
Originally GWENT's single-player story-driven component, Thronebreaker has since evolved into a fully-fledged standalone RPG. And in the new gameplay trailer below, you can get a little better acquainted with the game's narrative and exploration, as well as its turn-based card battle combat.
Featuring commentary from CD Projekt RED Community Manager Pawel Burza, the walkthrough offers plenty of insight into Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, ahead of its release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 4th December 2018.
I'm actually really looking forward to this. I had to stop playing Gwent because I had to live the rest of my life, but a single player experience based on the game seems great to me! I like some of the creative setups they came up with for some of these battles, especially the manticore one.
I really wasn't expecting it to be this fleshed out with a story and everything, I'm actually getting excited just watching this, I loved playing Gwent in The Witcher 3, was a bit awkward to get into at first, but once I learned the mechanics and stuff it became one of my favourite minigames in a game ever!
this game surely developed a lot than when it first started, CD project certainly doesn't settle for less and everyday they prove to be one of the best game developing company around.
