CD Projekt RED has announced that Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, the single-player RPG adventure set within world of The Witcher and GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, will be arriving on consoles in December. Combining narrative-driven exploration with puzzling and card battle mechanics, the game tells the tale of Meve, war veteran queen of the Northern Realms.
With Lyria and Rivia facing an invasion from the Nilfgaardian kingdom, Meve is called upon to fight once more, setting out on "a dark journey of destruction and revenge". During Thronebreaker's adventure, you'll explore new, never-before-seen regions of The Witcher's world, tackling "thought-provoking" quests featuring a range of "rich, multidimensional" characters.
As you march to war, you'll gather resources, expand your army and engage in "epic" story battles powered by the skill-based card systems from GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 4th December 2018, following the game's October release on PC. Check out the release date trailer below to find out more.
Damn for a decibd I actually thought it would be ROG a la Witcher...Oh well, Gwen was fun , but to me it was only a distraction from much grander adventures;-(
Now this I can get behind. Tradional card games with single player components are few and far between on consoles ever since the Magic the Gathering games stopped coming to PlayStation.
