Following today's leak, THQ Nordic has officially confirmed that Darksiders III will indeed be launching this November, with a selection of swanky Collector's Editions to choose from. You can either plump for the Darksiders III Collector's Edition or the ultimate mega limited Apocalypse Edition with a bunch of figurines.
The Darksiders III Collector's Edition comes in a premium box for $149.99, bundling a 11" Fury figurine, a steelbook with original artwork, an artbook, soundtrack, the game (obvs) and exclusive Armour DLC consisting of a complete skin that replaces Fury's base armour with a new look. Note that this has no impact on gameplay and is purely aesthetic.
If yout want to go for broke, then the Darksiders III Apocalypse Edition is also available for $399.99, cramming a wall scroll, four figurines including an 11" Fury, and 10" Vulgrim, War, and Death, a heavyweight amulet, steelbook, artbook, soundtrack and the same Armour DLC into another premium box. Oh, and there's a copy of the game in there too.
Pre-ordering the game digitally via the PlayStation Store, meanwhile, will grant bonus in-game content (dependent on how fancy the edition is), special discounts and one-day early access to Darksiders III. Pre-order from GAME (or participating retailers in other regions), and you'll get the Fury Exclusive Armour DLC giving the flame-haired mage an alternate style.
Darksiders III launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 27th November 2018, and you can take a look at the Collector's Edition and Apocalypse Edition in the trailers below. You'll also find some new gameplay from IGN below too, showcasing one of Fury's formidable elemental forms.
I wish I could take collector's editions with steelbooks, soundtracks and artbooks and chop off the figurines, wall scrolls, coasters, postcards, stickerbooks, medallions, drink coasters, and mouse pads.
