Assassin's Creed Rogue unfairly fell slightly under the radar upon its initial release back in 2014, launching at the tail-end of a generation and the burgeoning sophomore years of a new one, alongside French Revolution counterpart Assassin's Creed Unity. While Unity was riddled with bugs and a bit boring, AC Rogue, by comparison was rather good, even if its protagonist's weird Irish accent wasn't.
Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered gives an under-appreciated game a second bite of the cherry then, and if you've yet to play the final AC game to be released for last-gen platforms, this presents a golden opportunity. Turning Creed conventions on their head, Rogue has you playing as man with three first names, Shay Patrick Cormac, a one-time member of the assassin's order who joins the Templars to hunt down and kill those he once considered brothers.
In short, Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered is well-worth playing, regardless of the visual upgrade. But how much better does the game look on PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro when compared to the last-gen original? Is it that much of a graphical upgrade, or will you be struggling to see the difference beyond the obvious hike in resolution? Check out our comparison video below and see for yourself!
