2018 has already got off to a strong start, serving up treats like Monster Hunter: World and Dragon Ball FighterZ, but there's so much more to look forward to, as you'll soon see. It's shaping up to be another potential barnstormer on PS4 this year, and that's without even taking into account the announcements looming on the horizon.

That means it's that time of year when we put our heads together and put together a compilation of the top 20 games we're looking forward to the most in 2018, the criteria being that it has to be a game that we reckon is a safe bet to actually come out this year. Once again, we've chosen a song linked to something on the list, full marks to anyone who can identify the connection.

So, without further ado, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Here's to hoping that 2018 is a great year for all things gaming related (and everything else, for that matter)! Check out PST's Top 20 most anticipated games for 2018 below, then let us know what you reckon in the comments. Did we miss anything? Get something wrong? Shout up!

  • Is KH 3 even this year? I want it to be but... Not going to hold my breath. I'm impressed you managed to get 20 though. I don't think I could get 10.
  • @#1 Going by the KH trend of a game a year till release of KH3 as promised by Square, KH3 should be this year, I would expect the announcement of the release date at E3 then for the game to come out in Oct/Nov
  • The Crew 2? really?
  • Spiderman and God of war were announced 2 years ago , why are they still not out ?
  • @Comment #1 by Tsunami I'm not impressed with getting 20. Only because I could literally make a list of 20 games in as quickly as it takes to type them in. @Comment #4 by MikaNav You cannot rush perfection. Here is my list in no particular order: 1. Concrete Genie 2. The Inpatient 3. Team Bravo 4. MLB 18 The Show 5. Secret of Mana 6. Monster Hunter World 7. Kingdom Hearts 3 8. Days Gone 9. Far Cry 5 10. Detroit Become Human 11. Spider-man 12. Gravel 13. Red Dead Redemption 2 14. Shadow of the Colossus 15. Yakuza 6 16.Ni No Kuni II 17.DREAMS 18. Ghost of Tsushima 19. Dragon Quest XI (Western release) 20. God of War I watched the video and there are a couple I forgot about and I also forgot about Agony https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tZp6qE08JU. Likely forgot about it because of all the other awesome exclusive/console exclusives coming to the PS4. On a side note I'm not looking forward to A Way Out because the creator was a bloody troll when he said that the original PS4 is like a 5 year old computer and that it's holding back the project. Shouldn't he be saying that about the original XBOX ONE? Especially seeing that the PS4 is a little more powerful?
  • I also forgot about The Sword of Ditto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLKlTXqTzFI
  • I thought the video was well done. I liked how the clips matched the lyrics about flying for KH and Ni No Kuni and how when the gun shot off that it matched the music for it.
  • Some of those ain't 2018 games, man. Here's what I've got: Spider-Man Detroit Darksiders 3 (if it happens in 2018) Days Gone Guacamelee 2 (I'm guessing the video was AAA only) Vampyr Gravel (interested but need a demo) RDR2 can suck it, I don't need a "base game" followed by years of online "support" and bullshit MTX. GOW can suck it because fuck that dude Balrog. A Way Out is totally co op, so they can suck it, too.
  • With a couple of exceptions, the only games I'm looking forward to this year are the English versions of various Japanese games since most of the Western AAA titles are of little interest to me.
  • A couple I'm looking forward to that weren't listed are Oddworld: Soulstorm, and Hong Kong Massacre.
  • GOD OF WAR Spiderman Darksiders III Kingdom Hearts III Guacameele 2
  • @2 I don't know. They could just release 'KH 2.971: A Scattered Dream' as another collection... I am a big fan of the series but they have such a bizarre naming sense, and way too many damn collections. And I suppose impressed was the wrong choice of wording. More like, amazed. There is really not a lot this year, that I know about right now, that I am actually looking forward to.
  • @3 I'm interested in the Crew 2, if because of that open world mini-America concept. It may turn out to be a novelty... but... it has me intrigued. It also might be really pretty.
  • I am impressed by crew,2 trailers. But i figure they are doctored up high end pc footage
