Compulsion Games has announced that We Happy Few has been delayed yet again with the Spring 2018 release date now shifting to Summer of this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Producer Sam Abbot explained that the reason the release date has been shifted for a few months is so that the team can take some extra developing on the moments that people didn't quite fully enjoy in the game. These few extra months of development will hopefully give the game that slight tweak to keep fans happy and entertained throughout its adventure.
"So we went back to the drawing board and made a couple of big decisions: We brought forward a number of story moments, to get into the action faster, and also rebuilt the whole first island for Arthur," added Abbot. It looks as though some big changes have been made since its debut on Xbox One Game Preview and Steam Early Access to prep it for its full release this summer.

I saw this coming a mile off because the release date was only 3 months away and we had received virtually no new promo materials, which is never a good sign when a game is that close to coming out. I'm sure this will be good but they announced it way too early and should have waited another year or 2 before saying anything about it.
I've got more than enough games to keep me going until the official release date, then I'll see what the reviews are like before picking it up :).
I keep hearing about this game coming out, and it feels like this game has been out for a few years now... Like the way Astroneer apparently has a release date. Early Access is weird.
