Now I'm not sure whether that's Explodemon, as in an amusing take on those pesky gotta-catch-them-all critters, or whether it's a clever play on words for Exploding Demon... Lame segues aside though, it's actually the name of the PlayStation exclusive downloadable game from Curve Studios that's coming to the PSN this winter.
Set on the planet Nibia after a surprise invasion from the hostile Vortex clan, the planet has no other choice than to unleash the malfunctioning prototype that is the Guardian Explodemon on the invading nasties.
The title, that's been in development for five years, is said to offer 12 huge levels of platforming, tricky physics-based puzzles, upgradeable special abilities, plenty of up-close-and-personal combat and comic-book style cutscenes.
Still confused? Watch the trailer and check out the screens in the gallery here.
Explodemon is scheduled for a winter 2010 release on the PSN. If you're heading to the MCM Expo in London this weekend, keep an eye out for it.
