Gearbox and 2K have revealed the second Story Operation for Battleborn, 'Toby's Friendship Raid', starring the titular mech pilot penguin. The trouble is, Toby's custom-built death-dealing mech Berg has been stolen and it's up to him to battle through LLC manufacturing facilities, dodge traps and scrap minions to get it back.

Toby's Friendship Raid is the second story DLC following 'Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion' last month, and both are available now as part of the Season Pass and for Digital Deluxe owners. Each Story Operation can also be bought for 700 Platinum via the in-game Marketplace.

Also available to unlock with the DLC are 8 titles, 2 more skins for each of the current 29 heroes, up to 58 new skins, 3  new taunts, 6 new Legendary Gear pieces and Faction Commander Packs each time you hit max score.

Gearbox has also teased the game's 30th Hero, Beatrix, who's described as "precise, deadly and obsessively hygienic".

"Beatrix has a fondness, if not obsession, with manipulating living creatures. With her prosthetic syringe-arm, she can inject enemies at range, spreading debilitating debuffs and disease across the battlefield. A scientist at artificial-heart, Beatrix is ready to apply a lethal dose of Jennerit intellect and ruthlessness straight to Rendain," Gearbox says on the Battleborn site.

Beatrix will be coming within the next few months for Battleborn, while the next story DLC, 'Oscar Mike vs. Battle School' is also on the cards, alongside another free competitive multiplayer mode. Check out Beatrix in the teaser concept image below. Toby's Friendship Raid is available now.

  • I do feel slightly sorry for this game....but it was outdone by the better game unfortunately.
  • You're name is Toby!
  • I had such high hopes for this game. Now I don't even know if I'll pick it up when the GOTY edition comes out...and subsequently drops below $30.
  • @3 I think the chances of a GOTY edition for this flop are extremely slim.
  • Shame it lost popularity because of Blizzard fanboys. It really is the better game.
  • It is a good game just a shame it did badly after Blizzard decided to dump all over it with something shallow in comparison to Battleborn.
  • Gearbox done Borderlands and then took all the fun bits out to give you Battleborn.
  • Not news worthy
