You've already heard me harp on about how pretty stunning the debut showing of BioShock Infinite was and you've probably heard that same sentiment from other corners of the internet, so now, it's time to hear it from the developer.

Chatting with Lead Artist, Shawn Roberts at Gamescom this year, we delved deeper into the more theoretical side of BioShock Infinite to investigate such things as... Why did they choose a city in the sky? Why  did they return to the franchise after passing it on to 2K Marin? What's up with the glimmers in the demo? Why 1912? Why the sky? Will there be multiplayer? Why the sky? Yeah... you get the gist.

If by some miracle you've managed to miss our first impressions as well, check it out here. Your life won't be complete unless you've read it.

  • this is a must buy!!!
  • let me point first that im not a fan of shoters, i really not, but i do LOVE bioshock, its great to have a game that combines mistery/survival and of course a great story/characters. at first sight it looks..promising, i think i may like it, plus i also like all the "retro" super-technology kind of thing, we shall see if is worth it
  • i love bioshock as much as the next guy... but like... this shawn roberts guy has a horrible monotone voice which isn't selling this game to me. sooo boring to listen to.
  • Where is this glimmer I keep hearing about? I've watched the debut trailer 3 times now, I can't spot any glimmers : /
  • Cant spot the glimmer either! Looks like it could be great game. Think they should leave the MP out tho!
  • Webb would know best, but I'm pretty sure the glimmers are in the demo they showed at Gamescom, where they showed the sniper rifle and the Murder of Crows power, not the debut trailer.
  • I like the idea of not having a multiplayer in BioShock Inf. because there'll be no online trophies - not that they were difficult in BioShock 2 though. Some kind of co-op would be interesting though...
  • 0:59 biosock? i wish had one of those!
