WRC 5 developer Kylotonn Entertainment is developing an all-new FlatOut game for release next year, with publishing duties to be handled by veteran mobile and PC publisher Strategy First Inc. The new FlatOut title will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and will be faithful to the original demolition derby style of racing game.

"After receiving numerous offers from great developers worldwide, Strategy First is confident that Kylotonn Entertainment will deliver the FlatOut experience that fans have been waiting for. The all-new FlatOut will be the most ambitious title in the franchise’s history," reads the press release for the game.

In an effort to make the most ambitious FlatOut game to date, Strategy First and Kylotonn have been getting the oniine community involved in the creative process to help shape the game. FlatOut will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2016.

  • All I remember from the original 2 (I think there were 2?) was a fun destruction derby racer, with abysmal controls. If they can keep the fun and ditch the horrible controls, then this could be good. Having a developer other than Bugbear should help....
