Slender: The Arrival Rated for PS4 in Europe

Durring the drought of horror games I came pretty close to buying this, even though the original is devoid of anything but jump scares, but every review I've read picked it apart mercilessly. The biggest issue across the board was that it's simply a bad port, stating it runs pretty good on PC and wasn't a bad game. The bad port basically kills any enjoyability it may have had with frustration and repetition. Basically we have games like alien and evil within now, so unless they actually fixed it, and even then, what's the point? Their best shot was getting it in before oct 7th and taking advantage of people looking to settle for whatever while they waited for the real deal.

This is the most rudimentary, repetitive and non-scary horror game I've played. The backstory is trash, and is completely overrated. Avoid this game and anything "Slenderman" related like the plague.

The game is pretty good. My brother bought it on PS3, and I watched him play a good chunk of it. Very dark at times, and creepy as well. Also plays like a mystery that unravels as you progress through it. Looks MUCH better on PC than last gen consoles, so I expect current gen versions to look similar to PC. I'll buy it, for the right price.

I downloaded it for ps3 recently, oh well.
