Borderlands 2 PS Vita Update 1.04 Now Available

Richard Walker

Borderlands 2 for PS Vita was treated to a lovely new patch on Friday, in the shape of 'title update 1.04', which adds a number of tweaks including improved stability and additional control options.

Update 1.04 has been released to "further improve the overall Borderlands 2 PS Vita experience and addresses some of the feedback from you the fans," according to the PS Blog.

Here's what title update 1.04 brings to Borderlands 2 on PS Vita:

  • Improved stability and performance throughout the game, including addressing known issues with audio playback.
  • Gyroscopic controls can now be independently inverted. This should ensure that fans of inverted vertical look will also be able to enjoy Gyroscopic aiming as well!
  • There are now scaling sliders for rear touch inputs in the Options menu. Many users mapped lesser used actions to the rear touch but reported that in gripping their PS Vita systems, they’d still accidentally trigger those inputs. Users can now scale the input area down to much smaller zones, mitigating this.
  • Addressed an issue where players were not notified that their online session had expired, which caused players to incorrectly appear available for multiplayer.
  • Cool, i'll update when I get home. Hope this makes the framerate and lag better!
  • I love this for the Vita i think it's a great game and to be fair i haven't had much lag, or frame rate drops. It plays really well. Will download patch later. In the meantime, onto more Person 4 Golden!
  • Can you port PS3 B2 savefiles to the Vita yet? I thought I'd read that that was not working at launch.
  • @3: Yes you can, just update your copy of BL2 to v1.13 :).
  • @4 Thanks. I just got one step closer to buying a Vita.
  • Does anyone notice a difference in performance after the patch? Sanctuary is still Slideshow City for me...
  • Do you remember the times when devs would not release a game before testing and making sure it worked well and had the less bugs and glitches as possible?
  • I love this game and got the vita slim bundle. Can't stand the touch pad so I am glad they made that area smaller. This should be a standard for all touch pad controls. Awesome job on this devs.
  • @ 5 buy one I did just for BL2. Has a few good games like uncharted. @7 Yeah I miss those days. They seem to do less and less now and ask for way to much money. I remember cartridges were you got what you got. No updates no DLC, extra. To me that was gaming as you got the whole thing not just a part of it. But people will settle for patches and dlc now. Than complain later instead of buying the games when they are GOTY editions with everything patched and all dlc.
