With LEGO The Hobbit launching in stores this week, TT Games and Warner Bros. have released a wonderful new launch trailer, taking you on a tour of Middle-earth's most famous hotspots, from The Shire to Goblin-Town, Mirkwood and The Lonely Mountain.

You'll also visit locations like Lake-Town, Dale, Erebor, Bag End, Rivendell, and the dangerous High Pass over the Misty Mountains, assuming the role of a myriad of Middle-earth inhabitants, including Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, and the Dwarves of Erebor: Thorin, Fíli, Kíli, Óin, Glóin, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori and Ori.

Each character has its own unique ability, and you can buddy up as the Dwarves for combined abilities like co-op attacks, staff climbs, mace swings and belly bouncing, as you fight Orcs and other nasties on your quest. LEGO The Hobbit is out today in North America and on April 11th in Europe. Get the launch vid below.

  • LEGO games are taking over my PS4, That will be three I have on Friday
  • why couldn't this game have waited until December when the third Hobbit movie comes out? The third act of the game will come as DLC?
  • @2 They probably decided to not wait for the final movie so they can gain more cash by selling the game and then DLC on top for the final film. Indiana Jones games were an example of them doing that too The final film is coming as DLC
  • It's no coincidence that this is coming out close to the same time as the DVD and Bluray. It's all cross-marketing.
  • Day one on PS4
  • @6 this isn't close, but the very same day!!! Agree 100% with you, and I'll be a victim of their strategy as well, getting the game and the BluRay...
