Snake/Big Boss (same thing; play MGS: Peace Walker) makes his return this week, as Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes hits PS3 and PS4, offering a slice of the kind of action you can expect when Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases. It's rumoured for an early 2015 launch.

In this new launch trailer, you can get a look at Ground Zeroes' open Camp Omega sandbox, it's lovely precipitous weather effects and improved enemy AI, all brought together using Kojima Productions' sexy FOX Engine.

Taking Big Boss to the Cuban soil of the Guantanamo Bay-style Camp Omega black site, you'll have to sneak in, rescue and extract Paz and Chico. You'll be alone behind enemy lines, free to choose how you approach each of Ground Zeroes' objectives.

You can find out much more in our Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes review here. It's out today in North America and on Friday, March 21st in the UK and Europe.

  • Just picked mine up! ...now the long, slow, countdown til work's over!!
  • its soooo short...
  • My inner Metal Gear fan is hating me right now, but I'm going to wait for a box set with both games. Maybe it will be cheaper by then as well. I don't want a prologue tease and then wait for a year (or longer) to get the rest of the game.
