Loving father. Caring husband. Secret octopus. That in a clamshell is the name of the game in Octodad: Dadliest Catch, the game in which you assume the role of a besuited octopus, masquerading as the human father of a typical family unit.

Using his unwieldy tentacles, Octodad must perform mundane tasks successfully to maintain his deception and blend in. "Manipulate his body like a squishy marionette to maintain the masquerade, as too much suspicion from the proper populace will doom him to sleep with the fishes!"

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is coming to PC, Mac and Linux on January 30th, prompting a fan to ask when the game will be coming to PlayStation 4. "March is the target" the official Octodad Twitter account replied. Tentacles crossed that Octodad: Dadliest Catch makes its March release date on PS4.

  • Lol I almost forgot about this game ! Let's hope they improved the gameplay because judging by the previous video it looked very hard to control. I have to admit that it looks very funny though.
  • @1 I think the control difficulty is the whole point.
  • I played this at eb games on the launch day of the ps4. I was laughing. I'm looking forward to this.
  • i cant wait for this. since i first heard about it, sounds like a winner :D
  • This is the one game I do not understand or why it has such a following (at least that's how it seems to me). I've seen some sort of playthrough on videogamesawesome but I really don't get it, this seems to be the one game in which apparent crap controls are actually it's feature. But fortunatly not everything has to be catered to me and I do hope the game succeeds just so we can keep on getting a wide variety of games comming to the consoles, and who knows I might even get to see some titles I'm interested in which are don't appeal to other people.
  • Early release on steam huh? Might as well check it out.
  • WTF is this?? Looks very funny, probably will laugh all the time while playing this.
  • "Loving father, caring husband, secret octopus..." wtf?! is this game some of beastiality type of game? It would seem that he is married to a human woman and somehow spawned hybrid offspring. I say so because it appears that he is living in the human world doing humanistic (is that even a word lol) things. Does the developers have some sort of sick perverted mindset that no one seems to be noticing, because everyone seems only to be focused on the control scheme. Is his wife blind or into weird Japanese anime (some of u may know what i mean lol). Not gonna get this sick af game, not what im into. So why the hell did i comment for huh? WTF DID I COMMENT FOR?!!
  • @8 my thoughts Excatly I'm not getting this sick twisted game either i don't see how anyone would, just disgusting!
  • How did he stick his octopenis in her vajayjay which in turn produced human children? That guy's a goddamn hero!
  • Everyone is looking at the silliness and fun of this game and 3 people talk about this game being sick. This game was likely designed for kids, most of which don't know where babies come from. It's just supposed to be silly and funny and having a octopus for a dad is indeed funny. The way they show it anyways
  • This seems like one of those games that would be fun for 5 minutes and then you would be like 'what the fuck am I doing with my life'...
  • Let's face it, an octopus must have had sex with the wife to have kids. Apparently she did not even suspect he was an octopus. One word describes this guy.... Player!!!!
  • @13 Yeah, Octodad is the next Bill Belamy!
  • This game looks hilarious.
  • this game is great for a laugh with your friends! i played a demo at BestBuy, looking forward too this game for sure!
  • Reading the comments section reminds me of the intro to Cow & Chicken. "Mama had a chicken mama had a cow. Dad was proud he didn't know how." Hilarious.
  • @#17 - CLASSIC lol -thumbs up to you
  • Great, now I'm thinking about Octomom ... and I just threw up in my mouth.
  • I actually love the premise and have no idea why! But hate indies so.. yeah..
